Composer of this year's opera of Winter in Schwetzingen, Johann Sigismund Kusser's career took him to various European music capitals like Stuttgart, Versailles and London. Integrating these different musical influences into his works, he developed an early international music language. With its rich programme including well-known composers like Jean- Philippe Rameau (France), Georg Philipp Telemann (Germany) and Antonio Vivaldi (Italy), as well as new artistic discoveries, our Christmas concert is characterised by the same influences.
