Juri Kannheiser is in great demand as a live and studio cellist, particularly in the pop and jazz genres. He can be heard in music productions by Joris, Leslie Mandoki, Josin, Yvonne Catterfeld and many others. He is currently a member of the following formations: Rebecca Trescher Tentett, HomoLudens//Ralph Heidel, Hanna Sikasa and Kontai Ensemble. As a producer and songwriter, he has worked with Paranormal String Quartet, Amelie//23Karat and Lauraine, among others. In addition to his work as a cellist and composer, he is the singer of the band KANNHEISER. He has created theatre music for the Theater Regensburg, the Theater Oberhausen, the TUP Essen, the Residenztheater Munich and the Nationaltheater Mannheim, among others. Juri Kannheiser is composing the music for »Planet B« at am Theater und Orchester Heidelberg in the 2024/25 season.
