Red Zora
Family play by John von Düffel based on the novel »The Outsiders of Uskoken Castle« by Kurt Held
Englischer Bau
Young Branko Babitsch has lost his mother and walks around aimlessly in the small harbour town of Senj. At the market square, his hunger gets the better of him and he reluctantly picks up a fish that someone has dropped. He is caught in the act and locked up at once. But help is coming in the form of a little red-haired girl: Zora. The witty Zora is leader of a band of parentless children that live together in a castle and scrape a living by playing tricks on people. Branko is welcomed into the band. For him, this means getting a family, a home and food all in one fell swoop.
But the wealthy townspeople fight against the children's community, which they say consists only of drifters and thus disrupts the townscape - will they manage to destroy the band?
To accompany the production, the Heidelberger Schloss Service Centre is offering a guided tour of the castle for children entitled »Die wilde Schlosstour der roten Zora - Rallye zum Kindertheater«, which you can find more information about here.
