The world is under pressure: wars, shifts to the right, the climate crisis, injustices, capitalism, optimisation mania … The theatre clubs of Theater und Orchester Heidelberg want to explore the pressing question of how to survive in a world under pressure. Do we manage to relieve pressure sometimes? When do we feel under pressure?
In the 2024/25 season we offer seven clubs for different groups. Each club explores in a protected space when pressure helps to achieve peak performance and where pressure needs to be reduced.
The theatre clubs meet once per week. Over the course of the season, they develop their own productions according to the motto »under pressure«, which will premiere in summer 2025. Information on the kick-off meetings and registration can be found on our website.

KINDERclub [7–11]
Our KINDERclub welcomes all children with or without theatre experience who are interested in acting and meeting new people.

Kick-off meeting: 24 September 2024, 4:30–5:30 p.m.

JUGENDclub [12–15]
The JUGENDclub is for everyone aged between 12 and 15 who wants to socialise with others, work in a team and perform on stage.

QUEERclub [14–25]
The QUEERclub is aimed at young, queer persons who are looking for a safer space where they can gain new experiences, exchange ideas with others and act on stage together.

TANZclub [16–50]
The TANZclub is for everyone who wants to discover the body’s divers means of artistic expression. Together the participants explore the relation between body, space and time through dance.

INTERNATIONALclub [16–100]
The INTERNATIONALclub opens up a space for theatric work for everybody who is interested in multilingual theatre, no matter whether they are German native speakers or not. The club is held in English.

FRAUEN*club [18–100]
The FRAUEN*club provides a protected space for women who want to express themselves artistically and creatively.

GENERATIONENclub [18–100]
The GENERATIONENclub is a meeting place for people of different ages who want to try their hand at intergenerational theatre and enter into an artistic dialogue.

Kick-off meeting: 27 September 2024, 6:30–7:30 p.m.
