Family alarm! Film director Lia, early 30ies, is unexpectedly expecting a child by her boyfriend Tom. The Bergemann family is about to grow. With her four children, this used to be the job of Lia's older sister Jule. With her husband Arne, Jule is struggling through the rush hour of parental life. Jule’s twin sister Anne and her girlfriend are childless meanwhile, but somehow Anne always knows best when it comes to advice on raising kids. Within a year, the three sisters meet three times in their parents’ house. Kerstin and Bernd, a stay-at-home mum and a soon-to-be retired architect, meanwhile, have made their own experiences as parents ...
With this comedy premiered in 2023, Jan Neumann created a pointed, highly entertaining family panorama about the adversities of the contemporary, privileged, tiring existence of parents.
The production of the decorative parts is carried out in the workshops of the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
