Zuzana Petrasová, born and raised in Prague, began her musical training on the piano at a young age and later switched to singing. Since 2019, the young mezzo-soprano has been studying singing at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz with Prof Kateřina Beranová. She recently spent a semester abroad in Italy in the class of Prof. Umberto Chiummo.
As part of her studies, she took part in many university productions, including »Die Zauberflöte« as the 3rd lady, in »La finta giardiniera« as Ramiro and in »Hänsel und Gretel« as Hänsel. In a co-production with Musiktheater Linz, she performed the title role of Oreste from the opera of the same name by G. F. Händel in the BlackBox in 2022.
She has been a member of the Oberösterreichisches Opernstudio ensemble at the Musiktheater Linz since the 2023/24 season and will make her debut at Winter in Schwetzingen in winter 2024/25.
