Andreas A. Straßer studied architecture and urban planning at the TU München and the TU Wien and worked as a tutor at several chairs during this time. He graduated from TUM in 2012.
From 2014 to 2017 he was an assistant stage designer at Schauspiel Hannover.
Since 2017 he has been a freelance stage and costume designer; among others at Schauspiel Hannover, Staatstheater Kassel, Theater Dortmund, Theater Münster, Theater Oberhausen, Schauburg München, Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater and Stadttheater Ingolstadt; as well as in the independent and international scene: e.g. with the Berliner Theater Strahl in Simbabwe, or Comedia Köln in Israel.
Some of these works have received awards.
He has repeatedly collaborated with the directors Lars-Ole Walburg, Ulrike Günther, Anna Vera Kelle, Alexander Eisenach, Manuel Moser, Milan Gather and others.
