Vassily Dück

Vassily Dück was born in the small Siberian town of Blagoveschenka in Russia. He studied in Novosibirsk/Russia at the State Conservatory and graduated as a music teacher in addition to his soloist training. As a highly qualified artist, he can now look back on an extensive and busy career. He has played as a soloist and concertmaster with the Altai Philharmonic Orchestra, the Barnaul Chamber Orchestra and the Siberian State Orchestra. His numerous stage appearances include those at the Alte Oper Frankfurt am Main, the Gasteig in Munich and the Schlosspark Theater in Berlin. Not forgetting his engagements at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, Theater Bremen and the Oper Frankfurt. And his performance at the Federal President's summer party in 2007 in the park of Bellevue Palace in Berlin. He won the regional competition »Creole – Preis für Weltmusik aus Deutschland« in 2007, the XXXII Premio e Concorso Internazionale Fisarmonica in Castelfidardo/Italy in 2007 and the III Astor Piazzolla Festival in Lanciano/Italy in 2008. 
Vassily Dück's musical expressivity and his vital interest in styles and genres form the basis of his artistic work. His repertoire ranges from tango Argentino and French musette to jazz, classical and world music. He arranges, composes and performs as a soloist as well as a congenial ensemble member.
