Children’s and youth choirs

Theater und Orchester Heidelberg is looking for new members for its children’s choir (from age 7) and for its youth choir (from age 11). Both choirs rehearse on a weekly basis: The children’s choir meets on Wednesdays from 4.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m., the youth choir on Wednesdays from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The rehearsals include vocal training as well as rehearsing the opera parts. The children’s and youth choirs take part in Theater und Orchester Heidelberg’s opera performances. Prerequisites for participation are pleasure in singing and acting, a good sense for music and the ability to read music. The choirs are conducted by choir director Virginie Déjos.
